Simon’s Story

The first patient to be given high energy proton beam therapy in the UK has spoken about how the treatment could transform cancer care for thousands of patients across the country. Simon Hardacre received treatment for prostate cancer at the Rutherford Cancer Centre South Wales earlier in 2018, the first clinic in the UK where high energy proton beam therapy is currently available. Our Network of Centres!

Our network of oncology centres provides all-encompassing cancer services, offering world-class high energy proton beam therapy, along with traditional services, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive care services, to medically-insured patients, self-paying patients and patients referred by the NHS (where commissioned to do so). We are also registered with most of the leading health insurance providers and registered with Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and Care Quality Commission.
